Abstract. The article examines the determinants of the global diamond market, explores the current trends in the development of the global diamond market, and considers the impact of digital technologies on the creation of value in diamonds and gemstones. The article systematizes the market-forming factors of the global diamond market (long-term and short-term factors), including consumer preferences, macroeconomic components, supply fundamentals, short-term volatility of macroeconomic factors, geopolitical instability, conflicts affecting consumer confidence, pipeline efficiency (stock accumulation), market confidence of mid-level enterprises, liquidity of mid-level enterprises, etc.
